The partnership will extend the reach and scale of both organizations and further the mission of Seneca Solar, an enterprise wholly owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians

Salamanca, NY – Seneca Solar, the energy solutions division of Seneca Holdings, LLC, announced today a new partnership with Alternative Energy Development Group (AEDG), a developer of commercial- and industrial-scale clean energy projects. Together, the companies will collaborate on their Earth-healing work in service of Indigenous communities in the United States and around the world.

Seneca Solar, certified under the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC), is the energy solutions division of Seneca Holdings, an enterprise wholly owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians. Seneca Holdings businesses deliver over $250M in projects annually. On a mission to profitably and equitably deliver innovative renewable energy solutions that heal the Earth, Seneca Solar delivers solutions such as onsite renewables, community solar, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and other innovative technologies.

Seneca Solar has established a Certified Partnership Program (CPP) that will enable the company to rapidly deploy solutions at scale around the world. “Seneca Solar is an extension of the Seneca Nation’s commitment to healing the Earth. They are the perfect organization to be our first Certified Partner.”

AEDG is currently supporting Seneca Solar on an overseas renewable energy project that is a collaboration with international Indigenous communities. With deep experience providing clean, reliable, and cost-effective energy and financing solutions to commercial enterprises, nonprofits, and public-sector clients, AEDG brings to the partnership a high level of capacity, strong past performance, and an innovative culture. Seneca Solar brings a stellar reputation originating from an established track record in federal contracting and, with its Native ownership, a commitment to benefiting Indigenous communities.

“Seneca Solar’s partnership program will support us in quickly scaling a Native-owned company for the benefit of Indigenous communities in the U.S. and around the world,” said Matt Renner, Vice President of Business Development at Seneca Solar. “Partnering with companies like AEDG helps us achieve true energy equity for Indigenous communities by establishing generational ownership in the emerging renewable energy industry.”

In all of its business activities, Seneca Solar is committed to workforce and skills development for Indigenous communities as a foundational priority.

The Certified Partnership Program will be instrumental in furthering these goals and Seneca Solar’s mission.
